Thanksgiving Tag

Since it’s Thanksgiving I thought I would do a quick Thanksgiving themed tag. 🙂

1. What is your favorite Thanksgiving side dish?

I really really really really love my mom’s homemade stuffing it is the BEST!!!

2. What is your favorite Thanksgiving dessert?

Hmmmm… pie… what kind of pie? Hmmm… ALL THE PIE!!!

3. What does your ideal Thanksgiving outfit look like?

I don’t know. Most of the time I wear something casual and cozy but this year I just wore jeans and a grey tee shirt so idk… If I could pick an outfit though probably jeans, a nice tee shirt, and a sweater with some cozy socks.

4. What is your best Thanksgiving memory?

One year I made mini acorns which were Hershey kisses melted onto vanilla wafers with a piece of pretzel stick stuck to the top of the wafer. I was proud of them and they tasted really good. I ate them with my cousin and we hung out and played because we were young and it was the best.

5. Least favorite Thanksgiving dish.

Probably one of the vegetable things. Like today we had asparagus and, usually I like asparagus but I didn’t have any. I love almost all Thanksgiving food though!

6. Do you have any quirky Thanksgiving traditions?

No not really. We have after Thanksgiving traditions though. We always get a Christmas tree and decorate it the weekend after Thanksgiving. We start listening to Christmas music afterwards too.

7. Where do you and your family usually celebrate Thanksgiving?

At our house. We’ve been celebrating it at our house for as long as I can remember.

8. What do you love most about Thanksgiving?

The comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. It’s always so warm and cozy and relaxing and I love spending time with my family and friends.

9. What do you think has changed most since the first Thanksgiving?

Basically everything. Back then, things were simple and people were grateful for what they had, now everybody just wants more more more and they are never content to just live and be grateful for what they have. And now I sound really preachy so I’m going to stop.

10. What are you thankful for?

Everything. Seriously, I am so blessed in so many ways. I have the most amazing family and the best friends anyone could ask for. I’m only 15 and I have a passion for writing. I am safe and have a warm home and plenty of food, books, clean water and so much stuff that other people don’t have. I am so incredibly blessed to be living the life I am. I am thankful for everything God has put in my life.

Here are two pictures of the food we had for the Thanksgiving meal.

Everything tasted so good! I had an amazing Thanksgiving. How was yours? What are some things you are grateful for?

I will be doing a NaNoWriMo update soon. Talk to ya’ll later! Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂

(I completely forgot to do this when I wrote this up. I’m going to tag some people now.)

NaNoWriMo 2015

Hi guys! I just wanted to do a quick post to tell you how I’ve been doing with NaNoWriMo this year. Yes, it is official. I am participating in NaNoWriMo again! 😀

Yes, yes I am!

My word goal is 50,000 and last night I hit 25k which means I am halfway there! Yay! I am hoping to reach that goal by the 20th.

I am happy to have more people doing NaNo with me this year. I have so many friends, on the internet and in real life, who are participating this year and it is really fun to have people with me on the journey.

I wanted to tell you a little bit about my project. It’s a contemporary, coming of age/finding yourself story with friendship and a little romance sprinkled in. I have been enjoying writing it so far, even though my characters are being rebellious and straying from the plan. I had originally planned for my MC to fall in love with one guy but she ended up falling in love with another. :/ Characters, am I right?

I haven’t read much in the contemporary genre, and haven’t really written in it either, so I was a little nervous about writing it this November. So I decided to read To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and finished it a few days ago. It was really good and helped keep me inspired. Now I’m going to read either Fangirl, The Night We Said Yes, or Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour. I stared reading Fangirl two days ago and so far it’s really good, although the third person writing is a little odd.

So far, NaNoWriMo 2015 has been going pretty well for me. How has it been going for you? What is your word count so far? What genre are you writing in? Let me know in the comments! I’d love to hear. 🙂

I hope to do another post about NaNoWriMo soon. Until then, I wish you all amazing luck with your writing endeavors this month!

It’s My One Year Blogversary!!!

Hey guys! Guess what? Today is my one year blogversary!!! *commences dance party*

One year ago today, on November 1st, 2014, this blog was created. I had no idea what I was doing and I only had one blog post which I will link here if you want to go read it. (be warned it might not be the best writing since it was my first but if you really want to go back and read it be my guest)

Now, one year, 23 posts, 453 views, and 32 followers later I am here. I just wanted to thank you all for coming back time after time to read my work. It makes me so happy to know that there are people out there who actually care about what I’m writing. Thank you guys so much for being here with me as I journey through my blogging. I hope you guys enjoy the content I put out and I hope to be able to continue writing on this blog for years to come.

If you guys have any suggestions on what you’d like to see me do on here in the future, let me know in the comments! I’m always collecting new ideas for blog posts so if you have anything in particular you’d like to see me do, let me know. 🙂

I hope to have another post up soon to tell you guys about my NaNoWriMo plans/goals because yes, I am doing it again this year. But that is a post for another time. Until then my friends, remember to keep writing!

Before I go though, let’s enjoy a few more gifs.
